From Zero to HRD: Built in a Day

Holixora2026-06-023 min read

We built a complete HRD system yesterday.

Not a prototype. Not a mockup. A production-grade application with a FastAPI backend, PostgreSQL, JWT authentication, role-based access control, and a full Next.js frontend. Employees, attendance records, leave management, payroll components, salary configurations, pay periods, payslips, org structure, masterdata, admin panel.

One day.

The Number That Matters Is Not the Hours

Speed without quality is just rushing. What matters is the combination: production-ready, complete, correct, and fast.

We shipped it because of the Holixora Core System, not in spite of working quickly.

Every product we build inherits the same foundation. Authentication is solved. Role-based access is solved. Database patterns are solved. API structure is solved. UI components are solved. The hard architectural decisions were made once and apply everywhere.

When we start a new product, we are not starting from zero. We are starting from a foundation that has been tested across six products before it.

That is leverage.

What the HRD System Covers

The system we built handles the full employee lifecycle for an Indonesian SMB.

Employees. Master data, employment status, personal documents, family records. The information that HR needs in one place, not scattered across files.

Attendance. Records and schedules. Who worked, when, what shift pattern. Connected to leave and payroll downstream.

Leave. Applications, approvals, rejections, leave balances. Managers approve in the system. The audit trail is automatic.

Payroll. Pay components (earnings, deductions, benefits), salary configurations per employee, pay periods, payslips. Gross, deductions, net. Clean.

Org Structure. Company, division, department, section. The hierarchy that your reports and access control actually map to.

Admin. Users, groups, permissions. RBAC from day one, because access control is not an afterthought.

Why This Matters for Your Business

Most Indonesian SMBs run HR on spreadsheets. Attendance in one file. Leave in another. Payroll in a third. Approvals by WhatsApp.

This works until it does not.

A system like this costs less to run than a spreadsheet mess costs to manage. The data is consistent. The process is enforced. The audit trail exists. The HR manager spends time on decisions, not data entry.

The Holixora Model

We do not sell hours. We sell working systems.

The HRD system is available as part of the Holixora Core System suite. Deployed on your infrastructure, connected to your other systems, configured for your business.

If your business runs on spreadsheets that should be a system, we should talk.
